Phyto-Zombie
Phyto-Zombies aren't actually phytozoids themselves. Rather, they are human corpses being used as locomotive hives by a swarm of thousands of phyto-moths. Once their eggs take root in a dead body, the moths use pheromones or high-pitched sounds to send signals to the eggs, which in turn cause the body to move.
The moths will often try to implant their eggs in living humans too, unaware or uncaring that their host would rather not have a thousand parasites eating them from the inside and controlling their movements like puppets. Entire villages are sometimes turned into phyto-zombies overnight, as casualties tend to cascade: the more phyto-zombies there are, the harder it is to escape them.
Night Prowlers. Moths are, famously, attracted to light and heat. Since most scavs only move during the night, their torches and the headlight of their vehicles attract any phyto-zombies who can see them. It isn't uncommon to see a horde of phyto-zombies emerge from the dark, shambling towards a group of unsuspecting survivors.
Unknown Origin. It is unknown what caused hornets to mutate into phytozoids - no experiments on them were being made, at least officially, before the Flare. Some hypotheses claim they might have mutated after feeding on phytozoids, or that maybe some top secret government-sponsored experiment was to blame. Either way, the phyto-hornets are here and it would take a lot of work to get rid of them.

Phyto-Zombie(phytozoid, level 1)
If the Phyto-Zombie downs an enemy, buzzing insects start crawling under the victim's skin, controlling its movements and turning it into another Phyto-Zombie.
After the new Phyto-Zombie is reduced to 0 hit points, if less than a minute has passed, a hard (DC 12) Technique roll can be made to try and turn the victim back into its original form.
If the Phyto-Zombie can reach an enemy with a single move, it does so and attacks twice. Otherwise, it uses its Fly Swarm.
2d6! 🐍 damage, melee
2d6! 🐍 damage, area of effect (a 3m square within 20m)
And the area becomes heavy fog and difficult terrain until the end of the Phyto-Zombie's next turn.
Interaction Options
The Phyto-Zombie's movement is halved. It can spend 2 actions to end the effect.
The Phyto-Zombie attacks with disadvantage.
